The Hype Display watermark

The watermark is the small “Powered by Hype Display” mark on a free screen. A paid plan takes it off. A trial does not — and that is the only thing a trial holds back.

What it actually is

Two separate things, and you can control them separately once you are on a paid plan:

  • The corner tag. A small mark that sits in the corner of the screen the whole time you are running.
  • The promo message. A short card that appears on screen every so often, the same way your own call-to-actions do.

Both are off by default on a paid plan. You will find the switches under Display settings in the Brand tab.

Who can remove it

Removing the watermark starts at Creator, on either the DJ side or the venue side. A paid venue plan takes it off your venue screens even if your DJ plan is still Free.

The switch only appears when your account can actually use it. If you cannot see it, the page tells you why.

Why a trial never removes it

Your trial gives you Performer-level features in full. The watermark is the single exception, and it is deliberate: a screen without it is the thing a paid plan sells. A trial that removed it would hand over the product instead of showing you what it does.

The same rule covers complimentary accounts we never billed. If an account holds a paid plan without a real subscription behind it, the watermark stays.

One more place it never shows

The watermark never appears on a venue’s open decks screen. A guest DJ playing a slot is not the account holder. Marking up someone else’s night for a plan they had no say in would be unfair, so that screen is always clean.

What this is not

The watermark is not a nag banner and it does not cover your branding. It is a small mark in the corner plus an occasional card — sized so a room reads your name first.
