The free beta

Hype Display is in free beta. Until November 2, 2026, every account gets the full product for free — no card, no code, nothing to claim. Sign up, and everything is already on, with two exceptions: custom handles come with any paid plan, and the watermark stays until you subscribe.

What the beta includes

The beta lifts every account to the top of each line. Your DJ plan behaves as Performer, which means all of this:

  • Everything in Creator
  • Video blends (playlists)
  • Real-time tip alerts
  • Custom call to actions
  • Instagram integration
  • Live follower count
  • New follower alerts

If you run a venue or a promoter storefront, those spaces run at Venue Pro and Promoter Pro level for the same stretch.

One account, two separate plans: a DJ plan covers you as a performer, and a venue plan covers your room. They move independently, and Venue Lite and above include Performer-level DJ features for your own screens. How the two plans work.

The limits that stay real

Three things hold during the beta, and we would rather state them plainly than have you find them:

A trial never removes the Hype Display watermark, whatever plan it gives you. Only a paid plan does. Why.

Custom handles are the second: they come with any paid plan, during the beta and after it. The beta lifts what your plans include, but a handle is bought, not lifted — subscribing early is how you claim your name early. Everything else here works without one: your public profile, your directory listing and your QR code all run from permanent addresses every account keeps; the handle only puts your name in them.

And the beta has an end date. It is not a forever-free tier — it runs until November 2, 2026, and then normal pricing applies. Checkout stays open the whole way through: a plan bought during the beta is a normal subscription and works exactly as it will afterwards.

What happens when the beta ends

Moving to a smaller plan never deletes anything. The features you lose go quiet, your settings stay exactly where they are, and they come back the moment you upgrade again. Changing plans.

On the end date your DJ plan moves to Free, and any venue or promoter space moves to its free level. Your displays, link page, profiles and rosters all stay put — the premium pieces go quiet until you pick a plan.

Every beta account also gets a founder offer: a discount on your first paid plan, sent by email when the beta ends, under the code FOUNDER.

The date will not sneak up on you. Your dashboard shows the deadline while the beta runs, and we email a warning three days out and a note once it has ended.

Where feedback goes

A beta is a trade: you get the product free, and we get to hear what needs fixing. If something is rough, confusing or missing, tell us in the beta feedback space on our community forum. It all gets read.

What this is not

The beta is not a separate build, a sandbox, or a plan you sit on. It is the real product with the paywall lifted for a while — which is why everything you set up during it is still yours on the other side of the end date.
