Say you are playing an event

This page is for DJs. If you run a venue or a night, start here.

Three ways onto a lineup: the host adds you and you accept, you ask from the event page, or you post the gig yourself. All of them end with the event on your DJ page.

Accept an invite

When a venue, promoter or another DJ adds you to an event, you get an invite. Until you answer, your name sits on their page as plain text with a “TBC” mark, and nothing shows on yours.

  1. Open Events, then Invites. The tab shows a count while something is waiting.
  2. Choose Accept or Decline. Accepting links your name on the event page and puts the event on your DJ page.

Declining is quiet — the host sees the row go, nothing else. If a host you do not want to hear from keeps adding you, use Block host on the invite; their future adds go nowhere.

Ask to play

Already booked for a night someone else posted? Open the event page and choose Playing this? Ask to be added. Add a line for the host if you like, and send it. The host approves it from their side, and you show as confirmed the moment they do.

  • You can send 5 requests a day. Asking twice for the same event does nothing extra.
  • Not signed in? Sign in and you land back on the request, ready to send.
  • Your own request shows under Invites as pending until the host answers.
A request never puts you on the page by itself. The host approves first, every time — a self-added name would be too easy to fake.

Post the gig yourself

If nobody has posted the event, post it under your DJ name — you are on the lineup from the start. A private booking with no venue can stay unlisted — it stays in your own list under My sets and never appears on your public page. If the event turns out to be listed already, a card says so before you publish, and Say I’m playing it asks the host instead.

What shows on your page

Upcoming events you are confirmed for appear on your DJ page whether or not you show your past sets. Past ones follow the same switch as your set history, so a quiet page stays quiet. Your upcoming and past events also appear under My sets, with a link to each event page.

If a host calls an event off, it comes off your page and shows as cancelled in your Invites for a week. You can leave a lineup yourself at any time from the same place.

Check it workedOpen your DJ page in a private browsing window. The event should be listed with a link to its page, and your name on the event page should link back to you.
