Open decks nights

An open decks night is one where the lineup is open: DJs claim a slot and play it. The venue sets it up once, and everything after that runs itself.

How a night works

• The venue posts a night — a date, a slot length, and how many slots there are.
• That produces a sign-up page with its own link and QR code. DJs open it and claim a slot.
• On the night, the venue’s screen shows who is playing, how long they have left, and who is up next. It moves on by itself at the printed time.
• Afterwards the venue gets a night report, and each DJ gets a recap of what their set did.

If you run a room

A night like this fills a quiet slot in your week with DJs who bring their own crowd. It is also how you find the residents you did not know you were looking for.

Once you post the night, the admin is close to zero: no spreadsheet, no group chat, nobody asking you what time they are on.

If you play

Claiming a slot is free on any plan, including the free one. You get a real set on a real system in front of a real room. It also counts towards the measured stats on your profile.

The screen does the work

Venues underestimate this part. The running order on screen removes almost every conversation the night would otherwise generate. No DJ asks the venue what time they are on, because it is up there.

Between sets the screen shows the sign-up code. The room watching tonight becomes next month’s lineup.
