Put your name or logo on screen

When you’re done, the screen will show your name — or your logo — the way you want it. The preview beside the controls matches what the room sees.

Set your name

  1. Open Display settings and choose the Brand tab.
  2. Type into DJ name. The preview updates as you type.
  3. Pick a font. There are 15 to choose from, and they are all built to read at distance.
  4. Set the size. Bigger than you think — the person you are trying to reach is at the back of the room, not at the booth.

Check it workedStand as far from your laptop as the back of the room is from the screen. If you cannot read it from there, go up a size.

The preview on the right is the real display — what you see here is what the room sees.

Shadows, colours and effects

A shadow or a glow is what keeps your name legible over a moving background. If your name disappears when the visuals get busy, that is the setting to reach for first.

Effects animate the name — a pulse, a flicker, a wave. One is a nice touch. Two competing with a busy background is noise, and the room stops reading it.

Before you startUploading a logo is included on Creator and up. Compare plans.
  1. In the Brand tab, switch Show from your name to your logo.
  2. Upload a PNG or an SVG. A transparent background works best on a moving visual.
  3. Crop it in the box that appears, then size it the same way you would a name.
Crop tight. Whitespace around a logo reads as a smaller logo from the back of a room.

Check it workedYour logo should replace your name in the preview, at the size you set, with the background showing through any transparent parts.

A logo with a solid white box around it will look like a sticker on top of your visuals. Export it with a transparent background and it will sit in the scene instead.
A trial never removes the Hype Display watermark, whatever plan it gives you. Only a paid plan does. Why.

If it didn’t work

Your name is hard to read over the background. Add a shadow or a glow, then lower the background’s intensity.

The logo option is not there. Logo upload is a Creator feature.

The logo looks soft on a big screen. Upload the largest version you have, or an SVG, which stays sharp at any size.
